Hey guys,

I just got a transcription of my great great grandmother's death and there is a note on it from the transcriber that I dont quite understand.

The note reads:

**TRANSCRIBER'S NOTE: CHILDREN OF FIRST MARRIAGE WERE ADDED LATER IN DIFFERENT HANDWRITING, WITH A NOTATION ADJACENT READING "VIDE FORM 24-1-24"

Does anyone know what the "Vide form 24-1-24" means?

so is there a form 24-1-24?

My first thoughts "form" could be typo, I presume this would be for an NSW d.c.

Vide from 24 January 1924 rather than Vide form 24-1-24

Second thoughts
"form" could be a Stat Dec form...

I know her husband died in 1923... Would it perhaps be something to do with that?

Hi,
Perhaps you could email your transcription agent for an exlanation as to what they mean.
Mine's pretty good when I ask extra questions. I could be cynical and say that he may know it means extra business from me if I then order more.
