1901 census- Smith
« on: Tuesday 28 December 10 19:04 GMT (UK) »
I am helping a friend with her SMITH family. Her grandfather was George Hayden Hope Smith born Essex, West Ham area c1886. I have a sub to Ancestry but cannot find him anywhere on the 1901 Census, however when looking at the index on Find my Past it shows a George H H Smith c1885 living in Samford registration district, Suffolk and on GenesReunited 1901, George H H Smith c1885 in the Stutton Entire area, Suffolk. I have tried browsing the Stutton area, District 2 on Ancestry, and have drawn a blank. I am not familiar with Suffolk parishes and wonder if anyone is able to give me any advice as to a nearby area to browse on the 1901 Census.

Thanks for any help.

they have his age as 76 on A* so that could be why you cannot find him!
