Hi gran,
Don't know if you have the Marriage Certificate of Samuel and Elizabeth, in case you don't hear it is.
November 30 1873.
Samuel Hughes. 19. Collier. Mold. Father George. Labourer.
Elizabeth Jones. 19. Pantymwyn. Father., David. Farmer.
Witnesses. Joseph Smith and Winifred Davies.

The only Baptism I could find is;
1 July 1855. Elizabeth D/O Elizabeth Jones. Pantymwyn.

I'll see if I can find more next time.

Paul.

Hi. I do believe Samuel & Elizabeth are my great grandparents. They emigrated to Canada, I think in the 1920's. My granddad, Daniel (Samuel's son), did not go with them as he had a family of his own. Samuel and Elizabeth went to Canada with their children. I don't know how many children they had, but I do know that one daughter was called Precilla. My granddad Daniel moved to South Yorkshire to work in the mines. He lived in a mining village called Darfield and worked at Houghton Colliery. Samuel lived to be over 100 years old. I believe his body was brought back to Mold to be put to rest. I think the rest of his family are still in Canada.

If I can help any more, then just ask.

All the best, Adrian Hughes
