Looking for Hector DALLAS born c. C1821

Looking for Hector Dallas also known as John Dallas or Tallis born abt 1821.He was transported to Australia in 1838 after conviction in Northamptonshire.Cannot find him in England so am wondering if born in Scotland.His occupation is listed as shoemaker so perhaps his family were also shoemakers.I know that a lot of shoemakers named Dallas or Doig went to Northamptonshire from Scotland.Any help would be appreciated as he is a real mystery.Am not even sure if Hector was his real first name.Many thanks ;D

Have you any idea where in Scotland he may have been born ???

As an example there are 3 John Dallas extracted births on the IGI in the

Inverness area.
