"Ancestry" help please
« on: Sunday 02 January 11 15:32 GMT (UK) »
I`ve been using Ancestry for a while now and have always opted for the `old style` of searching.  I suspect they will stop this at some point so I thought I ought to try to get used to the `new style` but can`t find out how to switch to it!  When I log on, the old style appears automatically.

help!!

Jane

Hi

Click Search at top of page and the option to change from old to new or new to old appears top right of the page  :)

Hi Jane

Right hand corner near the top in tiny writing should be  Go to New Search. I'm also worried they will withdraw Old Search as  I much prefer it.

One of the problems with the New Search is that it doesn't allow you to search census records by reference number, which for me is a grave omission and would need to be rectified if the Old Search was to be abandoned altogether.
