I recently found an inquest in the index in PRONI and there was a reference number (as has yours).  I asked them for a photocopy and they obliged.  It did not cost much.  Why not send them an email and as for a photocopy.  This will have true facts, and not a news reporters version.  RosemaryJoan

Thank you for that suggestion. The Family does  has a different account of the (reason) for the Drowning.
I am curious to know  tho ...if in that era did regular people put obituaries in the paper or was that just  custom for what was the considered for the notable personages?

I have never come across an obituary put in the local paper by 'regular' people.  They would only have put an insertion in the local paper giving funeral arrangements, if they even did that.  My family lived in the Ormeau Park area and I know that they would not have done such a thing.  As far as I know, obituaries were written about people who were well known in the cummunity.  Have you got a copy of the inquest?
