Hiya Mags and EVG,

This is a peculiar address http:///phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=996&
Should it not be http://phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=996& ???
I can not get it to work even with a / taken away.

There were families of both names in Co. Donegal in 1857 and the Shankill Parish of Co. Antrim 1861 - 62 when Griffiths Valuation took place in those counties.
http://www.failteromhat.com/griffiths.php I am almost certain that Ann and Patrick came from one of those two counties. I cross checked and found the surnames in only two parishes in Ireland - one Donegal and the other Belfast City. I hope this helps. http://scripts.ireland.com/ancestor/surname/index.cfm

All the Best,

Chris

I had a feeling you might say you knew Trinny! hope you find something new anyway.

Chris, thank you - I wouldn't know if a site address looked peculiar or not, computing not being one of my strengths!

I think this particular site has some sort of bar on anyone quoting its website name in full.
No more from me on this, fed up with it now!

Never mind Mags,

Forget the website address and quote the words that go into the Google search bar. There is no way that we will let these infernal inventions of modern technology get the better of us.

All the Best, Chris
