Vic Marriage or Death lookup Ellen MCMULLEN

i have looked under MCMULLEN, MCMULLIN, ELLEN, HELEN to no avail. She is nowhere to be found.

She is listed as alive on her mothers death certificate in 1927.

Both parent death certificates only list the childrens first names only. Good thought though.

I didn't mean buy the certificate, I know what its like though, I took a punt the other day and bought one, but it turned out to be the right one. I may have used up my luck for a while.

There was one Ellen McMullen marriage NSW 1889 at Glebe 2480 to Judd Gale, lets check this one out though.

By George I think you have done it !!

Ellen McDowall's death certificate does confirm that she is the Ellen McMullen I have been looking for. It also states that she was married to Donald Ross MCDOWALL in abt 1900 in Kalgoolie WA.

Now the hard to answer question is how and why did she travel all the way to Kalgoolie???

Also - as this is my first foray into Western Australian genealogy - how can I find the marriage certificate?

As for why she went to Perth got married came back and had Don Jnr and then went back to WA I will look into later  Have to pick up my son now

Here is a photo of the elusive Ellen McMullen - she is on the right with her mother Annie McMullen (Palmer) and her sister Mary Ann.

Well found Alison.

TROVE has a death notice in The Argus, Saturday 27 February 1943 for Ellen (nee McMullen) from the Maryborough F R Society - she was a committee member of the Society.  Died 24 February, 1943.

Also a death notice for her from her family, Friday 26th Feb - wife of Donald, late of 130 Hambleton St, Middle Park, mother of Jack and Hector.  Funeral notice, same issue says she was to be buried at Fawkner.
