A thankyou to restorers
« on: Thursday 06 January 11 18:33 GMT (UK) »
Quite a while ago, probably a couple of years, some of you coloured an old photo of my grandmother as a 5 year old.

It was quite a shock to see it in colour and made me realise that I'd always thought of her in black and white, since I never met her and my only record of her was b+w photography!

Anyway, the coloured version of the photo is framed and on my windowsill; I also use it as an avatar on another board; and I have had so many people comment on what a lovely picture it is :)

I know I said thanks to the people who did the work on it at the time and I'm sorry, I can't remember who it was! - But just wanted to say that the pleasure I get from this one photo hasn't diminished since you worked on it, and many other people have enjoyed it too.

Thankyou again  :)

I know exactly what you mean. :)

I've had quite a few restores done and they are all great. I print them all out and frame some. I have one on the wall that gives me such pleasure every time I look at it.

Even though we thank the restorers, I'm not sure they know just how much some restores mean to us.

Great work restorers and another thank you.

Lois

I don't remember if I did yours, Annie and mouse, but, it's lovely to think that the work of the restorers is valued so much.
Thank you.

I to have had some great result from the team of helpfull people on the restoration board. I normally have my feeble attempt here at home and then once i am completely satisfied i am totally useless at restoration, i them either post on here or ask one or two by way of email to have a go at it for me.
I am always amazed at what great results i get and how freely you all give your time to do this for others, never asking anything in return either.
My thanks goes to you all.

Migky  ;)

P.S.
Any one good at plastic surgery? I need some real help on the old boat race of mine ( it is a face only a mother could love, i just need to find any mother willing to love it)
It seems to be getting more lines/cracks on it than the worst photo that has been posted on here  ;D
