Archibald McCook & Catherine Michael marriage?- completed
« on: Saturday 08 January 11 13:10 GMT (UK) »
Can anyone help find marriage for Archibald McCook (also found as McCooke, Cook or Cooke), son of Alexander McCook and Jane Graham, and Catherine Michael in 1870?
Supposed to be in Co.Derry according to Emerald Ancestors index. I have found likely entry in civil registration index under Catherine's name (1870 Ballymoney registration district volume 1 page 195) but can't find matching index details for Archibald.
Since it is listed under Co.Derry one place and Ballymoney in another I suspect it would have taken place in or near Kilrea (which is in Co.Derry but comes under Ballymoney registration district). Archibald and Catherine later lived at Moyletra Toy which is between Kilrea and Garvagh but Michael is a common surname from Kilrea/Boveedy area so she might be from there.
Already have the family in 1901 and 1911 census records and details of 12 children (supposed to be 13).
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Thanks to both of you for finding the details which will now hopefully lead to getting a few more bits of this family sorted out better.

Aghadowey,
Using the new Family Search Beta site and putting the two in as parents gives several children and also gives Archibald's birthplace as Moyletra Toy.

Tamlaght O'Crilly is a parish (not a townland) and unfortunately the area is filled with Michaels, Michaels often married other Michaels, etc.
Was your Catherine Michael born c1912 or c1812?
