For details before the start of full civil registration (1864) you really need to know a location (ideally the parish), and the family religion.

see :

  Introduction to Irish Records
My Ancestor came from Ireland - where do I start?

Do you have Anthony's occupation from the marriage cert ?

The later English census returns, especially 1911, often give a more detailed place of birth (county or even a town sometimes), so worth following up on those.

The occupation for Anthony might help if he has a specific trade or professional type occupation as these can sometimes be traced using directories etc, of course many of the people who moved from Ireland were labourers and small farmers and these would not be listed in most directories.

You still haven't given his religion....

"For details before the start of full civil registration (1864) you really need to know a location (ideally the parish), and the family religion."....
Give a man a record and you feed him for a day.
Teach a man to research, and you feed him for a lifetime.
