1861 - 1871 - 1881 etc

Happy New Year:)

Jane Clifford born c 1836 Hallow Worcester. Christened January 15th 1836.

She is on the 1841 witg parents and siblings thus:
On the 1841 Census, the address was Broad Heath, Worcs. and was as follows;
Abel Clifford Age 30 Occ. Ag. Lab. Born Worcester.
Ann      Wife Age 30
Mary  daughter age 12 yrs
George Son Age 10yrs
Joseph Son Age  8yrs
Jane  daughter age 5yrs
Eliza daughter Age 9 months

She is on the 1851 thus:

1851 Census from Ancestry.co.uk (Part Only)
Jane Clifford    Servant   S   Age 17  Occ. Head Servant         Born St.Johns Worcs.
Address: Ashwood. Claines. Worcs.

(Have not printed the whole census)

I cannot find her on 1861, 1871, 1881, etc, I cannot find a marriage or a death for her.

I did get a reply from you just after I sent this in, but it was about the birth(s) of Henry Smith, which I did not actually ask for at this time as it was an old request.

I think this is Jane - if I'm right, she married a Norwegian in Birmingham!

William H OULSON  Son  1  ??, Wales

On later censuses, William is a photographer, and the family settle in Wales.  I can't see Richard's birth, but there's a marriage and death for Richard Clifford OULSON in Cardigan which must surely be him.

From your information I have followed through and found William and Jane Oulson on the 1871 census and 1881 census with daughter Eliza (whom I have also found as married to a David Davies on the 1891)
On the 1891 with her are William and Jane Oulson.

I cannot find William or Jane Oulson on the 1901 nor can I find a death for them in England or Wales:(

I found Richard Clifford Oulson's marriage as you gave it to me, but their marriages show both people being named Margaret:( do not know which one:( I did find on the 1891 a Margaret Oulson Widow and one of her children was named Richard C Oulson - so that could be the correct census.

I am not searching the Oulson line, I was mainly interested in Jane Oulson (nee Clifford) but with your help I have been to travel further down the line:)

Hi Rambler

I have found Jane Oulson (nee Clifford) on all Census Returns.
She died 1902.
William Oulson, is on all Census Returns including the 1911.

on the 1901 Jane and William are down as DULSON:)

This particular family line is now completed, thanks for your start.
