and I am assuming that is the name of the person buried in Karrakatta Cemetery.

Karrakatta Cemetery is in Perth and your ancestor died in the suburb of Bedfordale.

Wife Louis is buried in the same grave

and first wife Margaret Ellizabeth's burial record

with what may be a daughter named as grantee.  Status is current.

The information you have requested relates to purchase of the right to bury.  Many grants expire after a period of time and the grantee may be deceased as well and the grant expires.

You can purchase the Funeral Application Form for a small fee and that will give you more information.

Many areas of Karrakatta cemetery have been renewed and headstones have been removed.  This is an ongoing process.

Once again many thanks cando - I thought the name fettes was scottish - just have to work out now how margaret & charles met - have sent to WA for marriage cert & his death cert.  This has been a long term mystery - my mother grew up with so many stories surrounding her grandfather - his trade of plasterer fits as do the names of his parents so fingers x I can soon lay him to rest. Kind regards :)

Hi Dimply :)

I realise its been a while since you posted this but heres hoping you see this.

We must be related but i cant quite work out how yet! lol

Charles Denton is also my GGrandfather. My GGMother being Margaret Elizabeth Fettes. They had 3 daughters. Pop Denton kept in touch with my Grandma after he remarried but we never had a lot to do with the Pilbeam side although one of her sisters did.

Seeing as you're also interested in the Fettes side i'm assuming you must be related to Isa or Doris??

Would love to hear from you. I have recently restarted on the Family Tree (caught the bug again) - its amazing how much more info is on the web compared to 10 years ago! This post popped up on a random google search so i HAD to join rootschat ;)

Would love to know where you fit in on this family line too befuddled !

Cheers
