How do we know all this from 150 years ago?      Was his name on the birth certificate, do you know?

The 1880 US census for a Quinton Bone in Washington, Texas shows him as b. 1846 in Scotland. Can't be the reputed father. He shows as living alone, no occupation given.

Hi JQB6

I am a descendant of Quintin Bone and Isabella Duff (Hose).  I have all of the family history, except who the father is and Qunintin Jnr's actual date of birth (approx. 16th May 1843).  Quintin migrated to Australia in 1862 and joined his brothers John and Thomas Hose in Camperdown, Victoria.  He became a dairy farmer there.  He married Sarah Jane Kee in 1867 and had 11 children.  My grandfather, Henry Albert Bone was the seventh child.  Quintin died on 14th August 1918 in Camperdown.

I would be happy to share my Bone family history with you.

Regards,  Jan
