Enlarge and define help please

Hello,

I have the original of this letter dated 1881, but when i copied it , it remained small and when i tried to enlarge it ,it went blurred, can anyone help please ?

Hello Joanne
You need to scan this at a much higher resolution (300-600 dpi)
You can alter this in your scanner settings.

Forgot to mention,crop it so you just have the letter & not the white area.
