Isobel

Think that Thomas H is a son of Thomas Henry Percy and Rose Elizabeth SPENCER, born 9 Jan 1901 and baptised at Clapton Common St Thomas on 3 Feb 1901. Thomas Henry was an Able Seaman, so possibly away at census

The Johnson family were in West Ham Essex in 1881, and so Rose might have thought she was born there, giving Stratford as her birthplace on Cyril's birth cert in 1903.

Thanks so much I have been looking for weeks All this is looking very promising and perhaps explains why i cant find marriage cert for them at the date I was looking.

The mantle cutter is favourable too with mantle maker!
Did Cyril show up in the workhouse or can you tell me where to access this info

Hi

The record of Ivy Lillian was found in the London, England Births and Baptisms, 1813 - 1906.

As yet I cannot see anything for Cyril.

My friend has found out Ivy Lillian was her relative but not much else is known It is beleived Rose had a brother William and sister Lily .I find it a bit weird that Rose was in the workhouse but if her father is the Thomas and Sophia mentioned, Thomas was a solicitors clerk which must have been a good job .Is there a place I can find these work house records Thanks
