Welcome to Rootschat!  ;D

The mother's maiden name given for the birth reg of Elizabeth in sept qtr 1932 is Thomas, not Rodriguez.

Marriage reg
Thomas G Davies march qtr 1919 Gower vol 11a pg 1609 to Elizabeth E Thomas

possible death of mother
Elizabeth E Davies 47 dec qtr 1940 West Glam vol 11a pg 1646

The second marriage is to a Rodriguez
Thomas G Davies dec qtr 1942 vol 11a pg 2237 West Glamorgan to Mary Rodriguez

I won't post the names of Elizabeth's siblings in case they are still alive. But if you search on FreeBmd for births with surname davies and mother's maiden name Thomas registration district Gower , there are several possibles.

Buying the marriage cert for the parents would give you the names & occupations of their fathers, their ages & possibly their address at time of marriage which would help to trace them on 1901 census.

Hello and Welcome to Rootschat  :)

As Osprey said you need to buy one of the marriage certificates to ensure that you trace the correct family.

From 1911 free index only, there is one Thomas George Davies in Gower, born ca 1883, age 28. You can pay for credits to view the transcript or the original return:

Best wishes

Good luck with your search  :) I'm sure you'll enjoy it and soon be hooked!

This site has some very useful advice for getting started with your family history:

http://rwguide.rootsweb.ancestry.com/

There's a "where to begin" under General Subjects.

Kind regards

Hi, I have not done much on my tree for some time and have little on the Davies family but hope this helps you

My G. Granfather was Thomas George Davies born in Llangunllo near Newcastle Emlyn in 1882
He Married Mary Hannah Davies in 1901 in Porth and they moved back to Marys birth place of Penclawdd sometime in the early 1900's.
Thomas and Mary had possably as many as 7 children

I do not know when or where Mary died or left but it must have been some time between 1911 and 1919

Thomas Married for a second time to an Elizabeth Eleanor Thomas in 1919 she already had 3 illegitimate children
Thomas and Elizabeth had at least 3 children
my Grandfather also named Thomas George was born in 1920 died in 1970
Melville was born in 1922
Arial Archie G was born in 1927 died in 1995

I was told by family members that Thomas married a third time but have no information on this

Thomas died in 1954 in Penclawdd
