I am looking for a Elizabeth Harriet Thomas born  about 1896\7 in Llanfairrfechen this is how it is spelt on a New Zealand Marriage Certificate. Her parents names are Elizabeth Thomas (Hughes) and Owen Thomas. Elizabeth was married in Oamaru New Zealand 13th December 1924 to  William Edgar. He was from Southport Lancashire.

I was going to reply that Elizabeth Harriet wasn't with her parrents in 1901.Whilst it is true,there is a Harriet E Thomas born in Llanfairfechan in c 1898 given as the Grandaughter of a Rowland Hughes and his Wife Elizabeth,Rowland a Gardener given as born in Llanfairfechan in c 1835 and Elizabeth given as born in Bangor in c 1839.

FreeBMD has this birth for an Elizabeth Harriet Thomas

GRO reference June Q 1898 Bangor vol 11b page 489

Do you know when she emigrated to New Zealand?

I can't see a birth for a Harriet Thomas c1898 on North Wales BMD so it is quite likely that WRJ has found Elizabeth H in 1901 :)

There is this possibility for Owen & Elizabeth Thomas in 1901

Thank you to all that have replied. I have not checked when Elizabeth went to New Zealand. The certificates for New Zealand are a bit confusing. Elizabeth is listed as being older than William and he was born in 1898.  Elizabeth died in 1959 and William in 1961. On William's death certtificate he is stated to have been a minister of religion. I have contacted the Anglican church in New Zealand but waiting on a reply. I have just realised I need to get Elizabeth's death certificate, I have the marriage certificate.
