Is that Ada's marriage cert?  Can you give us all the information, like I've given for what is possibly her mother's marriage to James?  It all helps  ;D

Ada's marriage cert say that she married 10/11/1884 to Edwin Ellis in the presence of William Ellis shoemaker and James Ellis a foreman and Ada's birth cert 13/11/1854 ada born to James Mills a porter and Elizabeth Mills was Hoskins formely Hamilton

Does Ada's marriage cert say that James was deceased?  Where did it take place?  And where were they living on her birth cert?  Have you found Ada and her parents in any censuses?  There is an Ada who might fit the bill in 1871/1881....

Christ Church, St Marylebone, Westminster
27th August 1838 after Banns
William HOSKINS, full age, bachelor, baker, living 18 Westbourne Place; father: Samuel HOSKINS, decd
Elizabeth HAMILTON, full age, spinster, living 18 Westbourne Place; father: John HAMILTON, decd

Both signed the register
Witnesses: Rich.d MAYBANK?; J ? BLABY

James has signed the marriage cert ,they got married at St. Mary's church in Welshpool, montgomeryshire Edwin(Ellis) ,Ada's husband was living in Welshpool and she was stated as from London now living in liverpool

James was I think it says a Porter and they lived at 77 Queens Road West Chelsea

James has signed the marriage cert ,they got married at St. Mary's church in Welshpool, montgomeryshire Edwin(Ellis) ,Ada's husband was living in Welshpool and she was stated as from London now living in liverpool

Marriage certs do not have occupations for the witnesses; William ELLIS and James MILLS (I hope  ;D ) were named as the respective fathers; who witnessed the marriage?
