Surname help ?
« on: Thursday 20 January 11 09:08 GMT (UK) »
Hi all,

I have attached this wedding certificate of Joseph Kennedy and Mary ?, i think its Stronach but the more i look at it im not sure.
I am trying to trace these and find where Josephs dad comes from but no luck, so wondering if surname is wrong.
i would also like to thank everyone who has helped me with getting over hurdles of family tree tracing  :-*

I think the surname is Strannack.

There is a Henry Stranack and family, including an 8 year old daughter Mary, in the 1871 census.
RG10 / 4728/ 26/24.

What was Henry's occupation on the marriage certificate?

Thanks Jen

Unfortunately i dont know his occupation, i just know that on wedding Cert it states living in Scarborough and where his occupation should be written, you can just make out a H, so not much help really.

It was Stronach on all the trees that I looked at

Joseph and Mary were  hawkers on the 1881 so maybe her father was too  :-\
