Sawers in Jamaica - Puzzling Records
« on: Sunday 23 January 11 11:56 GMT (UK) »
I'm researching Sawers family history in Jamaica between around 1770 to around 1880, and have been looking at the IGI, particularly the newer records.

I noticed a record for 1817, but saw no details other than a date.  Then I found subsequent records, for various names, all without other information, but with the same date.  See here and here.

Is this just a 'batch entry' of a whole set of records for some reason?  Does anyone know how the Jamaican records work?
