Do I post a reply or send a PM?
« on: Saturday 16 April 05 18:15 BST (UK) »
When is it proper to send a personal message rather than post a reply? Are PMs considered a nuisance? (I like them, but I'm a newbie.) :)

On one hand, I worry about cluttering the board by answering a personal question with uninteresting information.  On the other hand, I worry about being a pest by sending a PM.

Hi Duckcharm,

At the end of the day i think its down to the individual how they reply, i always reply on the board..............unless im not too sure on a reply to a lookup.......rather than look stupid with the wrong information i do a personal message.

Hi Duckcharm

I always reply to the board if it is a response to a post (everybody can see then) and reserve PMs for contact that is mostly irrelevant to any posts.
