[Hi nothing on Index for John & Janet ? were they buried in Markinch ?
I see they had 2 daughters Elizabeth & Margaret who did they marry?

I don't know that they were buried in Markinch, but that John was born there & their marriage was reg there. Margaret married David Lumsdaine in 1792 & they eventually lived in Boarhills Fife I have no idea who Elizabeth married.regards dancing lady Australia

I was wondering if in your file you had and IMRIES or MELVILLE's

Have a James IMRIE died 1835  and Janet 1810 David  d 1837  and Agnes ??  and probably more,  just havent found there deaths but have births...

I have IMRIES in Markinch back to 1750s

Yes I have a number of IMRIE & MELVILLE in Fife Cemeteries

Have a James IMRIE died 1835  and Janet 1810 David  d 1837  and Agnes ??  and probably more,  just havent found there deaths but have births...
I have IMRIES in Markinch back to 1750s


I need to know than just one name idealy I need the names of Father & Mother, I see that there was a James Imrie
died 1835 age 80 do you know his wives name

YEs James IMRIE died 13/07/1835 and buried 14/07/1835   his wife was Janet (nee ROSS)  buried 29/07/1810  ,not sure of his parents,  Janets parents were David Ross  and Mary BALFOUR....any other would more than likely be the children of David and Janet IMRIE

his wife is Susan Hill, hope this is of help

180          John BARN died 24.6.1863? Age 67
   wife  Susan HILL died 11.9.1875 age 35
   Janet ROBERTSON wife of David BARN
   Died at Markinch1895
   David BARN died  9.7.1930 age 85
