John Philp was born 20 Feb 1781 in Markinch & died 4 March 1846 in Milton Balgonie, Fife. Catherine Henderson - Philp was born abt. 1780 in Newburgh, Fife & died 1851 also in Milton Balgonie, Fife. I just assumed that since all their children was baptized in Markinch and John being born there that John & Catherine could be buried there.

Hi Norrie,

I'd like a look up please for James & Ann SWAN.

Ann nee LINDSAY was probably his 2nd wife.  Don't know the first.

I have no death for Ann but she is not with James on 1841 census.

James possibly died 29 Dec 1843.

Thanks,

Fred

Hello Norrie,

Thank you for the headstone offer.

From what you have written earlier it sounds as if there are no headstone for John Galloway (died 1837)  and Ann Watson (died 1828), but I would be grateful if you would confirm this.

The burial register on the Markinch church website mentions a "Galloway area" of the graveyard, but I'm not sure how John and Ann are connected to the other Galloways in the graveyard.
