While digging the family grave at Taunagh, two name plates from coffins were unearthed.
John Kerr died 10 August 1920 aged 83 years
Mary Kerr died 13 November 1919 aged 84years.
The plates were reburied.

Mary was a daughter of Richard Taylor.
In Richard's will the farm would go to Mary and John's son Richard
as long as the name Taylor was kept.
The name was changed to Kerr Taylor.
Richard married Jessie Knox.

Hi Trevor,
As already mentioned while digging the old Taylor Grave in 1979 for a family burial at Taunagh old Church, we uncovered bones and the two nameplates which read John and Mary Kerr. I took the plates home and cleaned them and wrote down the details.  They were then re-interred with the bones. If you are in Ireland I can show you the burial spot or I can post you on a photo of the Church and graves. I have been working on the family tree for the past 40 years. I would have a large collection of material on our families.
I reside here in Ireland
