Davies of Grimbister

  My gt grandfather, John Davie, was born in Grimbister in 1846 and spent most of his life in Edinburgh. The Davies descend directly from Grimbisters and are said to be directly in line from Thorfinn the Skullsplitter and other figures from the Orkneyinga Saga. I would be pleased to hear from anyone with connections to the Davies who lived at Grimbister.  With good wishes,
