Keep an eye out on the Natl Library website www.nli.ie

They looked for tenders in late 2011 to get digital images made of all the parish records microfilms so that hopefully this year they could be viewed online.  Doesnt appear to include creation of indexed transcriptions but at least it would make viewing the records far easier.
