should have mentioned that I have the three Chatteris baptisms from a CD I bought a while ago, but was completely stuck working backwards and confirming forward link until I located that 1851 census return yesterday. It was on Familysearch with a link to FindMyPast... I'd never managed to find them before. I've since found the family in the 1841 return in Chatteris - John, Mary and 1 year old daughter Lucy. All born out of county.

I have a birth cert for Henry (my gtgt-grandfather) and it gives John's occupation as post-boy, and Mary's surname as Macinnis.
