I'm thinking 1870

 Deaths Dec 1870
Lincoln  Mary  82  Ampthill  3b 264

Apparently Ampthill is in Bedfordshire.

What's your thoughts?

Campton and Ampthill are 7 -8 miles apart so yes it is likely to be your Mary especially as the age is good

Campton was in Biggleswade registration district, not Ampthill. Had she moved - the next village, Shillington is in Ampthill RD? You need to purchase the death certificate to be sure you have the right Mary.

I knew Mary hadn't died in the Biggleswade registration District as I couldn't find her there. I wonder if she was living with one of her children nearby? I'll see if any of the ones we know about are in the Ampthill.
But as bedfordshire boy says the certificate would clinch it.

Another thought. She couldn't have been in the Ampthill Workhouse infirmary could she?
