Thomas Basson, gunner, royal artillery. Woolwich

I have a Thomas Basson born about 1819 [baptised dec 1819 Sparsholt][Sparsholt is near Wantage, Berkshire]. A gunner in 1841 and 1851. Royal Artillery Woolwich. Have not found him later, could he have gone abroad with the army? maybe died/been killed?

hope this is of some help i,ve looked in FindMyPast there are no service records for your thomas then went through army deaths from 1796 -1915 and only 2 records show neither for a t basson one is for wt basson age 28 =1910
the other is for a  w bason army ord corps .
if you want me to look further forward in time i will ,anything to help just ask

Thank you for that, being that he was born in 1819 I think that you have more than covered the relevant time span. If alive he would be 82 years old in 1901. John.
