Ahhh!!! now this is interesting.......

1901 Census Somerset and Bath Pauper Lunatic Asylum
Emily Louisa Harding 42 Patient

Edit: It states on the image that she is single but as it is not known where she was born, its possible that it was not know if she was married or not

Deaths Mar 1905
Harding Emily Louisa age 46 Wells RD 5c 356

Does this look like it could be Georges first wife?

Hello Candis,

Difficult to say it could be as name & age (about right), it's a shame her birth place was not given. If it is here what's the connection to Somerset

There are quite a few Emily Harding's living/born in Somerset, here's a few,  it could be one of these  ???

1861c Emily L HARDING born 1857 Bath niece to Richard & Anna M Harding

1881 Emma L Harding 1860 Longton Somerset single parents Stephen & Hannah

1881/1891/1901census Emily Harding married (William) 1854 Lyme Regis Dorset

1861/1891 Emily Harding dau Thomas single 1858 Dom. Servant Somerset

It might explain why you can't find a marriage for George John Harding to Alice Louisa White. Obtaining the birth certificate of his daughter Louisa born 1885 may provide some clues.

It may be worth re-checking the 1891 census again for a George Harding with daughter Louisa, to confirm the one posted is correct. I may have missed something

records available perhaps they may clarify  :-\

She could be buried here

Wow I'm assuming Peter is my Uncle Pete then.
This is fantastic news, our cousin in Scotland Debs, (daughter of uncle John) is researching the family tree.  I have just sent her the burial cert from great grandmother.  We also were wondering where the links with Lacey & also Gullick come into all of this.  We have also heard there are links with Co Mayo!!!
Best wishes

Gill Harding

Hi Gill

Wow my husband Marc son of Pete used to talk about an Uncle John going to Scotland.

What a coincidence.  You have an Uncle George, and Gerald to.  My husband is one of 4 siblings.

My personal email is *  We can communicate this way if you like. I have birth, death and marriage cert so I could send these to you if you would like.

Is your Mum Chrisitne Watson?

Would love to hear from you and learn more.
