1841 Census Culmstock Devon
« on: Sunday 17 April 05 16:56 BST (UK) »
Hi
Can someone lookup Emanuel Holway b 1827 in the 1841 census. He was born in Culmstock, Devon, and I have found him there in all census returns except 1841 till he dies after the 1881 census.
I am hoping he is still with his parents in 1841. He wasn't in 1851.
(Note Culmstock is in Wellington district for BMD, but seems to be in Tiverton area for census).
Thanks

Ken

Hi there

Emanuel was living with another family at Late Frys in Culmstock, the head being William Brown a Yeoman.  Emanuel is aged 14 and an Ag Ap (Agricultural Apprentice?)

Also in Culmstock at Helemore was

Thomas Holway 59 ag lab y
Richard Holway 8 y

(y = yes to born in county)

Hope this helps
