Memorial Tablets in St Oswald's Church, Methley
« on: Friday 04 February 11 00:16 GMT (UK) »
Hi

I have a number of family members who lived in Methley from the 1500's to the late 1600's. Several of them were apparently quite prominent in the parish and I was wondering if anyone could possibly check to see if any memorial tablets exist to them in St Oswald's church.

Their names were : FLOWER (father and son named John, died 1615 and 1624 respectively), NALSON (various family members) and SHANN(E) (Richard and family).

I would be very grateful if someone could do this.

Regards

Colin  :)

There are gravestones for John Flower and Mercy Shann acc to FAG. I’m researching the Flowers and Shanns  now. Drop me a line if you want to swop notes.
