Inscription stichill currie or Hogg
« on: Saturday 05 February 11 11:50 GMT (UK) »
Hi i wonder if anyone has researched the following couple or if there is an insciption in stichill parish for them. They both died pre-1855 so relying on old parish returns and i think i'mn correct in saying there are no death records for stichill parish.

They are:

George Currie and Agnes Hogg

She was on the 1841 census living at Baillieknowe cottages, stichill and she had a number of children born in stichill between 1802 and 1826. She disappears off census records after 1841 so believe she died between 1841-1851, used naming pattern to identify her parents as Thomas Hogg and Isobel Wood. He therefore likely died between 1826 and 1841

However i have no record of her husband george currie, i have saw people one person place his birth as 1766 but i have no record of him. Anyway i'll end it at that. Just looking for any inscription mainly for him but for either although i don't hold out too much hope.

Thanks all  8)

David
