Help please for finding info on lost uncle
« on: Saturday 05 February 11 16:05 GMT (UK) »
Can anyone please help me locate any information at all on my lost uncle - all i have is info from the 1911 Census and a birth certificate - and no family members alive that can give me any further information, apart from a cousin who is very hard to contact and doesn't seem to like talking about family history, this cousin did mention 'look for Ted in Ireland' he was a baddie!!! Funny eh!  not really much to go on.

Edward Hill (Jnr) was born 2nd September 1910 in Edmonton, Middlesex to Edward Hill and Helen Hill.

I have found one death entry for an Edward Hill born same year - death entry was for 1967 in Hendon - but again i'm not sure of his whereabouts at that time.

If anyone could point me in the right direction I would be most greatful.

Many thanks

Kaz

Well he's got a fairly common name and that might be his death in 1967.  Or he might be in Ireland but I'm sure he won't be the only Edward.  He might have ended up anywhere, its rather difficult to help when you don't have any definite information.

I guess you could try contacting the Hendon Register office and ask them to check if the birthdate on that death cert matches the one you've got.
