Here's another map with the CORRECT sections marked on it this time!

I tried to go back and delete the original but unfortunately there's no 'modify' button.

The numbers go up to over a thousand in most sections.

The only way to find it is basically to walk up and down each row and see if you can find a number on any of the stones - the number (if there is one) is usually on the base somewhere.

It'll just be a case that when you find some numbered stones, you'll have to try and figure out how the rows run.

Alternatively, if you visit during 'office hours', try the wee office which is at the next entrance up next to the Crematorium in the Western Necropolis. If all else fails, and you can find/see any maintenance men, they are very helpful, unless of course they are attending at a funeral.

Anne

Hi again Natalie, just follow  the instructions from AP and you won't go far wrong. There are 3 foot centres between the lairs. Find out what direction the numbers are going and work it out from the nearest confirmed number. They are not all marked. I am up there regularly, I'll have a look for you the next time I'm up. Are you expecting the grave to be marked? any dates? names etc,? WW

The grave would be unmarked, the name of the plot is highlands but there is no gravestone on it

That's not uncommon. I'll post before the weekend if I come across anything. The Cems and Crems Dept will mark a grave on request, however I'm not too sure if they charge for this, they didn't used to. Some are easier to find than others. Here's hoping, you may get lucky, Ill be in touch, WW.
