Conditional baptism?

I've come across a baptism for Lilian Alice Wisker at Shepherds Bush St Stephen on 8 December 1900. Next to the entry are the words "baptised conditionally". Does anyone know what this means?

A conditional baptism is performed when there is some doubt whether the person involved has already been previously baptised.  There is a specific ceremony for this in the Church of England.  A person is only supposed to be baptised once.

Thanks for the explanation. Lilian was 6 years old when she was baptised so I can see why there would be some doubt.
