Hi

Agree with George. SP are very good at getting you a replacement cert.

http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/content/help/index.aspx?r=1210

I tried various tools but there is just nothing to work on in quite a bit of the writing - just blanks.

JL

Added - it's cerebral haemorrhage 1 year

Mother's name might be Mary Anne or Jane  :-\
Cause of death was some kind of Haemorrhage (Central?  :-\) There is another odd word or two which I can just about make out ...

... but I agree that you should request a better copy. This is virtually unreadable and SP are pretty good and prompt with this kind of thing.

Otherwise it would be just our best guesses ....
