Jessie46 so far everything I have read on this post matches with my own research. John and Sarah came to Montreal in 1923 with their three children. John did work for the city of Westmount as a gardener, and he did design the Westmount clock. Charlotte was orphaned by the age of 18 and went to live briefly with her aunt, before moving out on her own. She worked at the Montreal Star before marrying my grandfather, Douglas Moffat. They had three children: Linda, Kathryn and Diane. I am Diane's eldest daughter
