Memorial Inscription Indexes

HGS have started to put some Monumental Inscription indexes online.  These indexes are free to search, but full transcripts have to be purchased.  The following are already online, but note they are all works in progress, so may not be complete:

St. James, Bramley
St. John the Baptist; Independent Chapel, Burley
St. Mary, Buriton
St. Mary, Breamore

See this page:
http://www.hgs-familyhistory.com/

and follow the links in the bottom right corner.

I have also found an index for St. Mary , Portsea,  on the site.  The database can be searched here:

The Isle of Wight County Press - the island's weekly newspaper is launching an online archive.  Further information can be found here:

http://archive.iwcp.co.uk/getting-started.aspx

Note it is free to search, but a subscription or credits are needed to view the original images.

(With thanks to Piltdown_man for posting the link in the first place on the Useful Links board.  :) )
