Thanks Darcey - I think that makes sense!
When you say new part I assume you mean the very large area on other side of main road. The area by side of church I assume is the original and there are two further parts near the church but on the other side of the minor road. (I suppose they are also possibilites as we have rellies buried there in early 1900s.)

I think we are going to need a couple of months to search this cemetery!!! ::)

Hi saz, :)

The 'new' Carnmoney is the big cemetery on the left side of Church Road  (coming from the direction of Glengormly and after you pass the big C.O.I. church) almost opposite  the original cemetery.

Only the Irish would continue to refer to it as 'new' when it has been there for donkeys years.

Our family grave was opened there in 1947. If the 'Martin' grave is not the one that jogarner is looking for you will still be in the correct area for around 1945.

We will go armed in a few months with
wellies and plenty of film in the cameras
and a bunch or two of flowers of course!

I have found a Martin in Mullusk next to me Grannie and Granda its a Robert Alexander ...died in what looks like 1989...is this any help

I once was in contact with the Carnmoney Presbyterian Church, which was quite helpful in sharing birth& marriage records ofrom many sources in County Antrim.
