Death Notice - COMPLETED - THANK YOU
« on: Wednesday 09 February 11 00:08 GMT (UK) »
Wondered if someone would be so kind as to look up a death notice for me.

It is for Joseph Bell.

He died on 7th August 1974 and was living in Hexham at the time with his daughter Frances.  She herself has since died.

Many thanks.
Andrea

Do you mean an obituary notice in the local paper?

Yes - I meant the death notice in the paper which I think would have been the Evening Chronicle.

Many thanks

It is quite possible that the obituary would appear in the Hexham Courant as well as the Newcastle Chronicle.

Thanks Erin31 - yes it probably would have appeared in the Hexham Courant.  I think it was also in the Evening Chronicle at the time as his son lived in Durham and he did have a copy of it back then but it was never kept.

Thanks
Andrea

No Bell ( of Hexham) death notice published the Evening Chronicles of Wed 7th August 1974 to Monday !2 August 1974.

There was a Bell of High Heworth, Co Durham, death notice in that period.
