Hi. Sorry it has taken so long but a spell in hospital has prevented me from checking the Hexham Courant any sooner.
The death notice for Joseph reads as follows:

Bell Hexham 27 Eilansgate Terrace on August 7th age 91 years
Joseph dear husband of the late Margaret.
Cremation West Road Cremetoriaum N/C
Relatives please meet at Crematorium. Cremation private. No letters please.

As you can see it does not give a date for the Cremation.
