Family name FRICKER

there's a  record for a George Frecker who left the army with a diseased foot in 1814 aged 32. He was discharged at Plymouth & the record mentions that he was from the parish of East Nile near the town of Enden in Wiltshire. Now, there's a parish of East Knoyle in Wiltshire with a chapelry called Hindon. The IGI extracted batch for East Knoyle marriages shows several Frickers.

Hello Osprey,George Snr. was a Chelsea pensioner ?
The diseased foot is in line with my recollection of what I saw of my mother's papers when she was alive.
Do you think the surname difference could be clerical error on the part of the original record keeper ?
These are really interesting leads thank you and I will look at them.

There doesn't look to be a dot above the vowel so looks more like Frecker, but I wouldn't worry about such small differences in spelling at that time, as it was far from set in stone. You can see that with East Knoyle being recorded as East Nile. Accents won't have helped either.
