Hi James M, that is very interesting. I have not heard of the " Morrish" connection before.
Which of the two brothers does the Morrish connection relate to ?
I don't have my papers with me right now but I am descended from George Fricker. He was the carpenter I think. His brother was I think Thomas and he was the blacksmith I think.
Could you tell me more ?
Thank you for your time,
Respectfully.
Philip

Wow,that is impressive James M. Thomas is as you are aware my Gt.Gt. Grandfather's brother. My Gt.Gt. uncle, right ?
My maternal uncle,Charlie Fricker of Romsey/Lancefield, Victoria died late last year, aged 91. Did you follow that thread ? He had 5 daughters and no son/heirs so when he died the direct line from George Fricker,Thomas' brother was finally broken.
George Fricker, brother of Thomas Fricker had a son, John George Fricker,my Gt.Grandfather and he was a teacher in many places in Victoria. He outlived my grandfather Herbert George Fricker and died aged about 93 from memory.
Some Fricker girls from John George Fricker are Queenie, Ethel Beatrice.
There is one Fricker daughter  of Herbert George Fricker still alive. She is 98 and lives in Tasmania. She is my aunt.
My mother,Norma Fricker died aged 86.
It seems most Frickers have long lives, the exception being Herbert George Fricker who died in about 1951 aged about 67.
I was born in Melbourne,Caulfield but I am in P.R.China now.
How does one classify our relationship ?
I am excited to find another branch of the family. Great stuff !
I would like to keep in touch !
Respectfully,
Philip

Realise that this was posted quite some time ago now but info' may be of interest if you do not have it.  Emma Irene (Rene) and Frank Morrish are my grandparents (mothers parents). Emma Irene is a sister of William, Laura, Percy (Fricker -buried on Malta after being wounded at Gallipoli), Ida and Doris (Dos). Emma Irene lived until she was 96 she had been a school teacher and spent much of her life in the Berrybank-Lismore district.  My grandafther, Frank Morrish came originally from Kingston, near Ballarat.  One of my brothers has a number of generations in both directions posted on ancestry.com  Further details are available from there or from us.
I assume James M may a Morrish, but not sure where he fits in the Morrish family tree??

Hi Richard

Yes, I am a Morrish and the family is from Kingston.  There still is a Morrish on a farm there.  Frank was in partnership with Gordon Morrish with the Morrish Bros chaff business.  The brothers were sons of John Morrish whom was a Bro in the original Morrish bros chaff business partnership.  I am descendants of one of the other Bros from the original partnership.

Cheers.  James M
