Framfield School Records
« on: Thursday 10 February 11 08:26 GMT (UK) »
Can anyone help or advise on this please? I am researching the Crowhurst family who lived in Framfield from 1870 onwards. Fourteen children, plus in later years, at least three from the next generation, went to this school. I was told by a member of staff that they had some achives which probably go back to the 1870's. Despite several emails to them I can get no response- not even an acknowledgement- how can I get hold of any relevant details for the family? I live in Devon so can't just pop round the corner !  Thanks for any help.  John

I would expect that any records will be at Lewes Record Office for safe keeping though I suppose the school may have kept them.  Worth searching the A2A site as there are various Framfield School papers at Lewes according to that.
