Dagley Smith Carriage Builders

Thomas Dagley and Henry Smith were firstly road carriage builders on London Road, Derby and then railway carriage builders for the Midland Railway.  Does anyone have any information about this company and when they began and ended manufacturing.  Would also be interested to learn if anyone knows about their family history.

Herbert Dagley Smith was in Partnership with Charles Phelps Cottrill as Job Masters and
Cab Proprietors at Alvaston as Cottrill and Co..  Disolved 22nd January 1904 by order
of High Court Chancery Division case Smith v Cottrill 1904 S. No.282.  All debts to Receiver.
