I forgot to say that in 1901 there were also 5 FIBS and 5 PORKS. But I have only looked at England. Who knows what was  happening in the other parts of the United Kingdom.

I must have a go at this............1901.............two BALLOTS.....a one hundred per cent increase on 1881.
If elected I promise to do away with Ballots.......said a candidate,we cannot sustain this increase.
Fortunately,the fourty three POLLING did not listen to him.....and he lost his deposit
