British Subject moving to Nairobi 1919
« on: Friday 11 February 11 23:20 GMT (UK) »
How would someone typically travel from UK to Nairobi British East Africa in 1919? Was flying an option then or would the person sail to a particular port and then go overland?

This post is a natural hand made product. The slight variations in spelling and grammar enhance its individual character and beauty and in no way are to be considered flaws. Unfortunately my preferred method of writing (Parker Quink on Basildon Bond) cannot be used.

Flying was not an option.

Fastest route would be across the channel by ferry  to France, then a train to a Mediterranean port such as Marseilles or Brindisi, then a steamer to East Africa via the Suez Canal
