So yes it is possible the1st died and Thomas 1781 was Christened Uppingham.

I wondered how you know Diana the Wife of Thomas was born Lincs?

There is a Diana Dorothy MERRIL, Christened 11 February 1749, Seaton, Rutland

Hi Trish
Thanks so much for this information.    I was given the other details of a Diana Dorothy Stevens by another cousin as maybe a possible wife of Thomas Wade after her search for English bdm.    So I can now disregard that and concentrate on this as being the right one.

I'm really excited about this finding of yours.     

Would it be possible to find out if Thomas and Diana Wade had any more children baptised between 1775 and 1781 in either Wing or Uppingham.

Sorry nothing to report for baptism or burials for children of Thomas & Diana Wade in Uppingham for the period 1772 - 31 August 1781.

Perhaps a 'chatter' with access to Wing PRs can assist.

 Thanks for looking so maybe there were only the 3 children born to Thomas Wade and Diana Dorothy Merril,

Would it be possible to search for the birth/baptism of the father,
Thomas Wade,    married in 1771 in Wing, children also bap. there

Perhaps around 1745 ??

Just seen your posts re Wade.  Have found a marriage of Diana Dorothy Stevens to John DODSWORTH on  30th April 1792.  Is this perhaps her second husband? ma was Grantham where you think she was born.
Is this any good or does it confuse the picture?  Best of luck.
